Nothing
but carbon, we are. An element which shapes us, defines us,
makes us, but brings about many reactions may it be chemically, spiritually,
emotionally or even mentally. So to put into perspective, nobody is really
quite different since we're all made up of the same element.
With the
assistance of society's blood ties, our carbonised label is
categorised into a primary group where we share more life changing experiences
that may differ from other carbonised labels out there. In
other words, we call it family.
"Family"
is something I haven't really been having a taste of. Maybe the rebel in me
chooses to distant myself to avoid awkward conversations and situations, or
maybe I just can't accept denial. I have to admit I've been putting work before
family for almost TWO years now and I only realise their importance in my life
when I'm already tied to an anchor heading into the abyss. This was one weekend
I wouldn't miss for the world.

A weekend
to remember - Saturday (10/5) to celebrate my Grandmother's 73rd birthday and
Sunday (11/5) to commemorate Mothers' day and especially with my mom visiting
us from Jakarta.
I'm not
the type to reply my family's WhatsApp group because I'm already swamped with
work messages as it is. I'd only reply if I really have no other choice
(meaning my mom typing out my full name because it's her way of shouting if we
were within each other's vicinity). So having her physical presence around
really brought out the inner kid in me who just wants to cuddle up to his mama.
And just
like that, the weekend passes, but this time not only did I just take photos of
my family members, I decided to make a Happy Mothers' Day Tag video on my
Youtube channel with my very own Mother. You could say we were having quality
time. Maybe I could do the same for Fathers' Day? You never know!

And since
I've started this post about the element carbon, do you know what else is made
out of carbon? The same thing that we used alot of during our BBQ - CHARCOAL.
And what
does CHARCOAL have to do with my happiness at the moment (besides the fact that
it cooked the foods at the chalet) - It's my VERY FIRST EVER Samsung phone:

I just want to thank Saumsung Asia for this tablet of mine. My GALAXY
S5 LTE comes in CHARCOAL BLACK and I seriously don't know what other color
suits me best. It's just not the color itself that makes me excited about using
this phone. There's an additional physical feature which most mobiles out there
don't really possess, which is a perforated back cover. This truly helps me
with the handling of my phone (I'm really quite the clumsy act) because even
with my sweaty palms, it does not slip off like any other phones will and it is
water resistant. Now I just have to get used to it using it with one hand while
I'm laying in bed.
It gives
off a very elegant look and feel without even trying too hard. As much I would
love to customize my very own phone casing, the back cover is too beautiful to
cover up. With a 16MP back camera and a 2MP front camera installed, I can
clearly say that I'm going to up my Insta game without have to worry about
editing too much because it also comes with a "Beauty Mode" feature
which makes me look very purrteh! It also possesses real time
HDR, which allows you to take clear and sharp pictures even under strong light. There's
also a Selective Focus mode, which allows you to choose your focus point and it
gives the bokeh effect (For you photographers out there), and
it focuses within 0.3 seconds with its Fast Auto Focus feature too.
I'm
seriously too lazy to purchase a portable charger because they're all too bulky
and that only means I'll have to bring a bag with me everywhere I go, but
thankfully there's ULTRA Power Saving Mode. You could
literally last for another 30 hours with just 10% left in your battery. However
you're restricted to only 6 applications, Phone calls, messages, emails, and a
choice among Facebook, Twitter and Clock applications and more! But this little
restriction is definitely better than walking around with a dead phone battery
and being uncontactable.
My GALAXY
S5 LTE is also legitimately qualified with IP67 (which
means an advanced protection against dust and water), so it is literally water
resistant to a maximum exposure of 1m in depth for a period of 30 minutes at
room temperature. I can now wave goodbye to worries of bringing it out when I
go hiking/running/swimming!
At the
same time, I have a lot of stuff in my phone that I would like to keep private,
unless my friends or family asks my permission for it. So there's this cool
safety feature called the Fingerprint Authentication where if
I activate it as my unlock screen verification, ONLY I could unlock it with MY
fingerprint. Not only that!! If you have a PayPal account and have a habit of
buying things online, now you can conveniently make your orders via your
Samsung GALAXY S5 LTE with just a swipe of your fingerprint. All you have to do
is link it up you're all set.

news for all those fitness junkies out there! (I need to be one too soon)
The
Samsung GALAXY S5 LTE comes with the Enhanced S Health ver 3.0
application which functions as your very own personal fitness coach.
It helps you set your fitness goals and records down your daily calorie intake
if you were to ever go on a strict diet. There's even an in-built Heart Rate Sensor
to keep track of your heart rate before and after your exercise – the world’s
first for all smartphones!
